How to Upload Routes to Hammerhead Karoo

Unlike Garmin and Wahoo, you’ll need to manually upload the routes to Hammerhead’s dashboard before synching them to the Hammerhead Karoo head units.

This article will cover the two methods to upload a route to Hammerhead’s dashboard.

Method 1 – Import from file

Log in to the Hammerhead dashboard. Create a new account if you’re a new Hammerhead Karoo user.
Click Add Route at the top right corner.
Select the .gpx, .fit, .tcx, .kml or .kmz file from your computer to upload.
Click Upload.

Method 2 – Import from URL

The import from URL works for routes created or saved in the platforms below by copying the URL,

RideWithGPS – Routes and trips
Strava – Routes and segments (they have to be set to public).
Komoot – Routes (make sure they’re set to public)
Training Peaks – Routes
Bikemap – Routes
Google Maps – Routes

Once you’ve copied the URL of the route,

Log in to the Hammerhead dashboard. Create a new account if you’re a new Hammerhead Karoo user.
Click Add Route at the top right corner.
Paste the URL into the Web URL box.
Click Upload.

The uploaded route should appear on your Hammerhead Routes dashboard. Any routes present here will be automatically synced to the Hammerhead Karoo when connected to the internet.
