Jonas Vingegaard’s wife is Trine Marie Hansen.
Trine Marie Hansen is Danish and born on 24 October 1987 in Glyngøre, a small town in the Danish Salling peninsula. She is the daughter of Rosa Kildahl Christensen, a Danish TV personality, and a frequent participant in baking competitions on TV.
Jonas met Trine when he was riding for Team ColoQuick from 2016 to 2018. At that time, Trine was the team’s marketing manager. According to her LinkedIn profile, Trine graduated from the Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing.
Since 2019, she has been the personal manager of her husband Jonas, managing all his off-bike affairs. Prior to that, she was an International Marketing Manager for coloQuick International A/S from November 2017 to September 2021 and also held various marketing-related positions since 2007.
Jonas and Trine tied the knot in 2019. Their first child, Frida Vingegaard was born on 8 September 2020.
Trine is always present at the finish of all the stage races Jonas participated in. If she can’t be present, Jonas can always be seen on the phone with Trine right after the finish. One such occasion is after stage 18 of the 2022 Tour de France.
In an interview with the Danish newspaper B.T., Trine said that her dream was for Jonas to race in all three Grand Tours in the same calendar year while he’s at the top of his cycling fitness.
“My quiet dream is that Jonas rides all three grand tours in one year. I think he should utilize his current level to do so.”
In 2023, Jonas Vingegaard raced in the Tour de France and Vuelta Espana, finishing first and second respectively in the General Classification. His teammate, Sepp Kuss rode all three Grand Tours and won the last one, the Vuelta Espana.
